This page covers the Agnes classic bedroom and current pieces that suit the same room. Agnes centred on a carved bed in solid wood with a four-drawer chest, nightstands, a stool, an armchair and a round silver mirror. Here, a fretwork bed, a shaped chest and a gilded nightstand take those roles.
Fretwork as the main decoration
Fretwork cuts a pattern into the wood, giving the headboard texture without adding mass. It suits a carved bedroom where the chest already carries strong detail. The New Deco Fretworked Bed by Francesco Pasi has a shaped headboard with grid fretwork on a solid cherry structure, 45 mm. Its frame comes in cherry, white, grey or sand lacquer, or Luxury.
Drawers with a carved front
A chest sits at eye level when you stand, so its carving matters more than a bed rail's. The Opera Shaped Chest of Drawers, 3 Drawers, Carved "B" Decoration by Francesco Pasi measures H 106 x W 146.5 x D 61 cm. Its doors and drawers are solid wood, 28 mm. Set it on the wall facing the bed, where the carving is seen from the pillow. Compare it with other high end bedroom furniture before deciding.
Nightstands that carry the gold
Small pieces are the easiest place to add gold. The Gran Guardia Nightstand 2051 by Francesco Pasi has gold leaf or silver leaf applied by hand, and carving made entirely by hand in solid cherry. A round silver mirror like the one in the old Agnes set would suit the silver option, and the finish list includes white lacquer with silver patina for that pairing. Other rooms can follow with exclusive italian furniture.
