Charisma is a modern bedroom mixing marble, quilted nubuck and gold-tone steel; this page explains how it is built and which current pieces work with it. The photographs below show the Charisma bed, chest, dresser, ottoman, night table, vanity desk and bench, plus the black and gold marble.
Marble, nubuck and burl in Charisma
Charisma contrasts soft upholstery with hard, polished surfaces. Its chest is quilted in grey nubuck with a bevelled marble top, standing on a light gold chrome stainless steel base. The vanity desk is in black Bubinga burl veneer with a high-gloss polyester finish, again topped in bevelled marble.
An arched bed and a chest on forged iron
The Ocean Arched Bed by Francesco Pasi has a wood frame on smooth legs and a solid wood structure, 80 mm; 100 Gloss Ebony is one of its finishes. The Shanghai Chest of Drawers by Cantori, designed by Maurizio Manzoni, measures H 82.5 x W 140 x D 52 cm. Its base extends into cylindrical supports of solid forged iron with contrasting metal ends. Nightstands with stone or wood tops
The Katana Nightstand by Dall'Agnese, designed by Signorotto+Partners, takes a top in wood, 8 mm, or in stoneware, 6 mm. The stoneware slabs are cut at random, so no two tops match, much as no two marble slabs do. Its epoxy powder-coated metal base stands 150 mm high. Anyone still choosing a frame can compare every made in italy bed in the range.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do the Shanghai chest drawers close softly?
Yes. The drawers are soft-close.
Will two Katana nightstands with stoneware tops look identical?
No. The stoneware slabs are cut at random, so no two tops match. A wood top, 8 mm, in the finish of the piece is the alternative.
Is the Ocean arched bed sold with a slatted base?
No, the orthopaedic wooden slatted base is sold separately.
