This page covers the Opera Unica classic living room collection, shown below in sofas, bookcases, buffets, consoles and display cabinets. It also presents three current carved and cherry pieces that build a classic Italian living room of the same character.
A carved loveseat for a smaller wall
Francesco Pasi's Gran Guardia Loveseat with 2 Cushions measures H 104 x W 134 x D 92 cm. Its carvings are made entirely by hand by master craftsmen.
At 134 cm it fits between two windows or opposite a fireplace, where a full sofa would crowd the room. For a longer seat, look at another italian designer couch in the same carved style.
Storage behind lattice doors
The New Deco Wall Unit with sliding lattice doors, also by Francesco Pasi, is built from cherry blockboard 25 mm in seven layers for sides, bottom and frame. Its doors and drawers are solid cherry, 34 mm.
Lattice lets the contents show faintly, a middle ground between the bookcases and glazed cabinets seen in the Opera Unica photographs.
A console in gold or silver leaf
The Gran Guardia Console Table 2022 by Francesco Pasi is carved entirely by hand in solid cherry. Its decoration is gold leaf or silver leaf.
Placed under a mirror or behind the sofa, it ties the seating to the wall unit. Gold leaf sits well with warm cherry; silver leaf with white or pale lacquer. Grouping pieces this way is the starting point for living room furniture sets.
