Granguardia showcases, and the carved pieces that sit around them in a classic living room, are the subject here. The old collection used natural wood, sliding doors and gold or silver leaf over milk white, hazelnut, cherry and coffee finishes. Current Francesco Pasi pieces follow in the same spirit.
How is a Gran Guardia display cabinet made?
The Gran Guardia Display Cabinet 2003 by Francesco Pasi has sides, bottom and frame in 18 mm blockboard veneered in cherry. Its carving is made entirely by hand by master craftsmen, in solid cherry. A stable case and hand-cut detail are why a showcase like this can anchor a whole wall.
Which seating goes with a carved showcase?
Seating should repeat the cabinet's carving or its finish, not compete with it. The Gran Guardia Armchair 2042 by Francesco Pasi is carved by hand in solid cherry and takes gold or silver leaf, so it can mirror the showcase directly. Set two of them across from the sofa to close the group.
The Opera 3-Seater Sofa by Francesco Pasi measures H 105 x W 235 x D 92 cm, and its gloss options include 100 Gloss Ivory for a room where the showcase is light. For a different silhouette, compare each designer sofa in the range.
Gold leaf or silver leaf?
Gold leaf warms cream and cherry finishes, while silver leaf sharpens white and hazelnut. Pick one metal for the room and repeat it on the showcase, the armchairs and the sofa. Apply the same rule when you add pieces from our luxury living room furniture.
