On this page: the Essence modern living room, a collection that kept to muted tones such as navy, olive green, earthy shades and white. The photographs below show its fixed, round and composed sofas, armchairs and a bar; above are three current pieces from Cantori and Epoque that keep the same calm.
A palette of navy, olive and white
The Essence palette avoids bold colour in favour of muted tones. Navy, olive green and earthy shades sit against white, which the collection treated as the safe base. Upholstery in these tones suits pieces with clean outlines, such as the Bleda Armchair by Epoque from the Exence collection, with foam padding, a base clad in steel and a steel insert. Keep the strongest tone for one piece, such as the armchair, and let the sofa stay neutral.
A sofa bed for guests
The Rivoli Sofa Bed by Cantori lets a living room double as a guest room. It is offered at 170, 200 or 230 cm, each 100 cm deep, on beech feet. Its tailored upholstery is fully removable, edged with a cord that can match the cover or contrast with it. Seat and back cushions are filled with feather and DuPont Hollofil fibre over a plywood frame. For complete groupings, open the italian living room set page.
Mirror or fabric on the low table
The Conico Basso Coffee Table by Cantori takes either a ground mirror top or a top covered in fabric. A fabric top can repeat the sofa colour, while mirror adds light. The base is upholstered in leather with visible stitching, or decorated. For extra seating, look at the modern italian lounge chairs.
