This page covers the Ellipse dining collection: lacquered contemporary pieces with Deco lines, shown below as long and round tables, a glass cabinet and a home bar. Alongside the photographs, three current pieces show how to complete the room with a sideboard, a table and chairs.
The Ellipse sideboard: lacquer outside, rosewood on the doors
Francesco Pasi's Ellipse Sideboard with Marble Oval pairs a lacquered structure with rosewood doors. The structure comes in 100 Gloss or matt lacquer in Bianco, Avorio, Tortora, Grigio Milano or Noce Milano, and the doors in natural rosewood, lacquer or veiled rosewood.
The same lacquer palette runs through the current Ellipse tables and cabinets, so a sideboard ordered now can match a table added later. The photographs below show the Ellipse collection as a long table, a round table with side chairs, a glass cabinet and a home bar.
A table with stems on four sides
From Cantori, the Mirage 36 Dining Table takes a top in wood, ceramic, marble or stone. Its stems are arranged on all four sides and follow the angles of the top.
That base suits a square or rectangular room. For a pedestal shape instead, compare an italian round dining table.
Chairs with a folded back
The Circe Dining Chair, also by Cantori, was designed by Luca Roccadadria. Its back ends in an upper fold that recalls a handbag flap.
Against flat lacquer, the fold reads clearly from across the room. Other italian dining room chairs can be compared side by side before choosing a set.
